Blush Mystery Beauty Box July 2013 Review

So I was super excited when Blush had a coupon for I think 20 or 25 percent off of your first months subscription! I got one and it took about 6 days to arrive to my house, not too long. I had looked up spoilers for the July box (out of curiosity of course) and at first I wasn't so excited to get my box. Btw, everything you get is in a cute bag inside of a box. I think it's neat!

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised once I opened my box/bag! I realized that I actually liked most of the products, and I will use all of them. A lot of these products seem to be geared toward maybe "older" women because there is a lot to do with eye creams and anti aging, things like that. I don't have too many wrinkles yet (I'm not even twenty, but I'm getting there) but I love these products anyway. There is an information card that comes with everything and I am so glad they included it because I was unsure what some of the items were and how to use them. I'm new
 to some of this.

Deborah Lippmann 3D Nail Color: Value- $19. This nail polish is the coolest color! I love blue, especially darker blues. It is in the shade Ray of Light and it is labeled as "3D holographic nail lacquer". How awesome is that? Very awesome. So many sparkles. Maybe I should have painted it on my nails for this picture, hmm...

Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad Self-Tanner: Value- $18. These are self tanning towels for the face. I usually don't use self tanners but I may have to try this out. It comes with 10 towels so that should be enough to decide if I like it or not.

Value- $16. This Emani organic lip shine is amazing! It lasts for a while and isn't as sticky as other lip glosses I've used. It also tastes pleasant! I hope I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Philip B. Self Adjusting Hair Spray: Value- $22. This is a huge bottle of hairspray! It's a buildable hairspray that adjusts to how much holdage you need. I don't normally use hairspray since I rarely do anything with my hair, but now I'll be ready!

Bioelements Quick Refiner: Full Size Value- $46 for 3 OZ. (This is tiny!) This was one of the items where I went "what the heck is this?" but luckily the information card helped me out! You spread a thin layer onto your clean face, morning or night or both, and it is supposed to reveal younger looking skin. My skin tone is somewhat uneven because I have redness, I am hoping this will help! It is a pretty tiny sample though.

Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex SPF 15: Value around $15. The main thing I love about this cream is that it has SPF 15. I love products with SPF in it because I dislike having a pink face from the sun! I will probably be using this as a moisturizer in the mornings.I also am in love with this packaging. Seriously how cute is that jar?

Lumene Vitamin C= Pure Radiance 24h Lotion: Value- $20.  Okay, I love this moisturizer. Literally my favorite thing I have ever gotten in any subscription box. It is 1.7 ounces of awesomeness. It moisturizes extremely well. I always have tight, dry skin after I shower and wash my face, but just a dime sized amount of this made that dryness disappear! Lately I have been trying to finish my 6 ounces of Ponds cream. Ugh, it's taking forever! This Lumene product has totally gotten me out of my rut. I love it. And also it smells nice and it's made from Cloudberry and it had natural coloring. Ahh I love it! Totally worth trying this box out.

Value: $20. This was an extra gift that came in my box. It's a little tiny concealer brush and I love it so far! So cute.

This is a very tiny sample of an eye cream. It looks larger than it is because the underside is hollow, kind of. You know? Anyway, we will see how this works! This was another extra in the box. I just looked this up and apparently it has been recommended by Oprah! Everybody loves Oprah. I trust her.

I purchased this box for around $19 and I think it was totally worth it! Especially since I think I found my new favorite moisturizer. Thanks for reading!

Did anybody else enjoy their box?

Free Shampoo From Kroger!

Today only, if you have a Kroger plus card or any other branch of Kroger cards, you can redeem an online coupon for a free shampoo! It's normally a pretty expensive shampoo, it's the Clear brand, so I think this is an awesome deal! You can pick either men or women's conditioner or shampoo.

I recently got a free Clear conditioner from CVS, so I definitely like that Kroger had the same coupon!

The coupon expires in August but you can only download it today, so hop to it! I believe that Kroger is doing a freebie coupon like this every friday, so I'll try to stay up to date on that.

Enjoy your free product!

July Julep "It Girl" Introduction Box & Coupon Code

I was surprised that this shipped so quickly, I feel like I just ordered it! Which I did... a few days ago. Still, it seemed to get to my house super fast, which was awesome.

Julep is a subscription box service that focuses mainly on nail polish, but they have started to branch out into other things such as hair and body care.

I chose the It Girl intro box because I thought the nail polish colors were amazing, and they are!

Of course, the packaging was so beautiful. But I was too excited to take a picture of it and accidentally may have torn into it...

This is a .07 oz sample of Julep's hand scrub. It claims to reveal "noticeably softer and younger looking skin after just one use". My hands could definitely be softer! I just wish this sample was larger, and not a foil packet.

I received three colors; Bunny, Stefani and Eden.

I know this picture sucks, sorry!
This is Bunny, it's a nice off-white shade and I am really excited to try it out! I mentioned this in one of my other blog posts, but I only own one nail polish. Total. Ever. And it's pink. So I like this.

This picture isn't so great either. Sorry! This is Stefani. It looks sort of like a dark grey with some shimmer in it. It will be perfect for fall :)

So blurry, so sorry.

This is Eden. It's like a purple blue color, and I love it! I honestly cannot wait to try out all of these colors.

I got this Julep introduction box for only $3.99. How great of a deal is that? Three nail polishes and a hand scrub sample for four dollars. I'll take it :)

You can get your first box for only $3.99 by using this link!

Thank you for reading :)

June 2013 Empties

Alright, so while browsing through other blogs I've noticed that some people include a post about all of the products they used up in the previous month.

I think this is a GREAT idea because sometimes people do reviews on things they just purchased or received, and sometimes it's hard to judge a product by the first try. After using the entire product, one usually has a pretty good idea of what they like/don't like about it.

Ok! Onto the empties. Some are samples, some full size, all used up.

First is a free sample I got from a website called Freeflys.com. I recommend checking the website out! Anyway, this was a BB cream sample from Garnier in multiple shades (I used the first two). Honestly there was nowhere near enough to use on even half my face, which was kind of disappointing.
Purchase? No

This small sample lasted about a week, which is amazing! It is the Pantene conditioner, and I totally love Pantene products. I also love that this sample was not in a foil packet, it was a tiny bottle!
Purchase? Definitely

I love Suave because it can be a little cheaper than other products. The only downside is that their products are average- they don't do awesome things to my hair :/ But this conditioner did a good job. I shampoo and condition my hair every morning, despite how bad it may or may not be for my hairs health!
Repurchase? Maybe, if I'm tight on money

This is the Pantene mini shampoo free sample, which I liked just as much as the conditioner. The only thing I didn't like about this bottle is that it could only stand upright, which meant all the leftover shampoo is stuck at the bottle of the bottle and it takes forever to get out... first world problems, right? Does anyone have this problem?
Purchase? Yes

I honestly do not remember where I got this foil packet of Phyto shampoo, but I know it was a free sample. It seems fancy, but it wasn't that great. First of all, I like shampoos that lather well, and this did no such thing. Second, I like shampoos that smell nice, this smelled like nothing. And another downside, it's a foil packet. Just too messy for me and wet hands, ya know?
Purchase? No

This Maybelline BB cream took me foooorever to use up! It's in the lightest shade and it was great for winter and spring, when I didn't get a whole lot of sun. I have the second lightest shade now and I mix it with another foundation I have to made it lighter, I'm pretty pale. I'm not a big fan of BB creams because I feel that they don't do a great job of covering up blemishes. I have some blue veins on my nose and cheeks and I like to cover those up-- BB cream just doesn't cut it unless I mix it with something heavier. Oh well, I'll use up the other one I have until it's gone!
Repurchase? I already have another ;)

Oh god, this is an eyeliner I have had since forever. It's from hot topic. I still have four or five of them, but they are in bright shades and I actually might use them someday soon. This sparkly silver one is just too short to sharpen now. I'm not much of a sparkle person anymore, anyway.
Repurchase? No

I hope to use up more products in July! It feels so nice to throw things away <3
