What was in my mailbox this morning

I love a good deal. I love saving money and getting things I want for a good price, if not free. I love using coupons. Recently, I have been trying to find awesome skin care products. After emailing a few companies and asking if they recommended any products, or had any samples, or coupons, I got very little responses. I received some foil packets from companies and thought "well this is hardly enough to see if I enjoy the product or if it reacts well with my skin...".

After some slight disappointment, I got amazing things from two skincare companies.

The first thing I opened from the mail today was an envelope from Freeman Beauty. I have one of their face masks and use their charcol scrub weekly and I am so in love! I emailed them asking for samples of the other products they have and they emailed me saying they would send me a coupon. They did not dissapoint!

A handwritten note was included, I was surprised!!

THIS was the coupon they sent me, how awesome is that? If you have never heard of their products, I seriously suggest checking them out! You can click here to go to their website.

The second thing I received was a small brown box. It was from DermOrganic! I was so excited to see that they gave me AMAZINGLY sized packages of both haircare and skincare! My skin is often red (like I have a permanent, slight sunburn or something) so I am excited to try out this organic skincare. I also am so impressed with how large these samples are. You can check out DermOrganic here!!

This was random but I love getting samples in the mail, especially samples/coupons I can get good use out of!

Love With Food August 2013 review + $5 off coupon code!

Love With Food is an awesome subscription service! For $10 a month (plus $2 shipping), you get to sample some of the tastiest food around. I've gotten this box twice now and everything I have received are things I would not normally buy for myself. Also, they are not things that I would find anywhere close to home. Good thing you can order online :)

The theme for August was Backyard BBQ, and it fit pretty well I guess! But when I think of BBQ, I think of hot dogs...

These chips are organic and so yummy! They are thicker and less salty than normal potato chips (think lays) and they are definitely healthier for you. This bag was 100 calories and I was impressed with how full I was after eating it all. Definitely would want to buy these again.

Green pea crisps, sounds kind of strange, but I cannot wait to try this. I always think I won't like something and then I end up loving it.

I am not a huge fan of seeds or cranberries, but I am willing to give this snack a try. The picture makes it look delicious!

OMG, I cannot wait to try this tomorrow morning. It is caramel smack in the middle of two thin waffle cookies. The back of the packaging recommends warming this up from the steam from coffee or tea. I will be up early tomorrow for this reason :) What a great way to start the day, with dessert!

I honestly did not know what a praline was until I read the information card. This is pecans smothered with a fudge-like coating. How interesting? I'm not a big pecan fan but we shall see about this one!

These are so cute. They are little mints in a tube. Project7 plants a fruit tree for every tube that is sold, how amazing!!!

Mmm, salsa! I cannot wait to try this. I don't like spicy food but this is medium, so I should be fine probably :)

Blurry picture, oops. Dizzy dust is a rub you can use on ribs, burgers, chicken, what have you! It smells delicious but I will be saving this for a special occasion ;)

They also included some great coupons! I hope I can hunt these down at Kroger...

All in all, I really enjoyed this box! So glad to have some change in my lunchbox every day at work :)

Love With Food is only $12 a month to try new and exciting food, what are you waiting for? Remember, if you use my link you will get $5 off your first month to try it out :)
If you got this months box, what was your favorite, or your least favorite? Thanks for reading!

Links to boxes I like/want to try and some other randoms! (some are affiliate links and would help me out greatly if you clicked them to sign up for anything) :)

Love With Food - save $5 with my link!
Wantable - They have a makeup box OR an accessory box for just $36 a month. They are awesome at customizing boxes to each individual person!
Ebates - Use links through this website and get cash back on purchases from certain stores! This is legit, I have gotten two checks so far in the mail and had no problem cashing them at my bank. It makes shopping online a little more manageable. Also they have coupons!
Birchbox - Reeeeallly want to try this out soon.
Dollar Shave Club - Ok, I love these razors. My boyfriend bought some for him, and I made him order a second razor handle just for me! The razors are literally the best I have ever used. Some thing about guy razors make it so much better than girl razors.

That's all I could think of at the moment, have a great night!! :)

July/part of August 2013 Empties

So this post is going to be about products that I have run out of in the past month or so. Some of these were free samples, some were purchased by me! Enjoy~

This is a free sample I received from Suave. It is their moroccan styling oil. I used it on my hair when it was damp to make it softer and more shiny, and I definitely loved using it! The only problem was the packaging, it was super messy. I didn't end up using all of it because of the mess but I still got 2 weeks worth of use out of it.

This Garnier targeted line smoother was also a free sample. There was barely anything in it! I don't have much to say about it since I don't have many lines on my face.

Another free sample! Cuticle oil from Essie. I got a few uses out of this and I really liked it. I think I have a whole bottle of Mary Kay cuticle oil so I'll keep using that until it runs out. The package recommends using cuticle oil twice a day. Who has time for that? Not me!

My mom bought this Milani Runway Eyes eyeshadow for me back in middle school! Eyeshadow seriously never runs out. At least not for me. Anyway, I just have too many eye shadows and I barely use this one, plus it's old. It's time to say goodbye! These shadows are super pigmented and look even better when you're using a damp brush!

I first discovered ELF products around Christmas time last year, and I went a little crazy when ordering online. Their products are mostly hit or miss. This is THE BEST eye shadow primer I have ever used. I used to have the Urban Decay primer, and it creased horribly and was expensive. This primer is ONE DOLLAR and works like a charm. I have already repurchased this :) Love love love. You can find it at Target!

I have had this for what seems like forever. It's the Fit foundation in shade 110. Honestly I don't know if this was the best color for me. I am pretty pale but I don't know what my shade is! It's sooo hard to find my shade, does anyone else have trouble with this? Help! Anyway, this foundation was alright, it left my skin a little dry. I mixed it with a creamier foundation so that it worked better.

I love this lotion!!! It smells sooo good and I am so sad to see it go. I got this from bath and body works forever ago. It hydrated my skin fairly well, although my skin would get dry soon after. Maybe their formula has changed lately and I should probably check it out :)

So I emailed L'Occitane and asked if they had any samples I could try. I didn't get an email response but I found this in an envelope a few days later! My name and address was hand written on the envelope, it felt so personalized. Anyway, this is serum that you are supposed to put on your face before moisturizer. I liked this but I don't like adding extra steps to my makeup routine! I got about 4 uses out of this, not enough to figure out if it's worth it or not.

So those are my most recent empty products, let me know if you have tried any of these products and if you feel the same!

Blush Mystery Beauty Box July 2013 Review

So I was super excited when Blush had a coupon for I think 20 or 25 percent off of your first months subscription! I got one and it took about 6 days to arrive to my house, not too long. I had looked up spoilers for the July box (out of curiosity of course) and at first I wasn't so excited to get my box. Btw, everything you get is in a cute bag inside of a box. I think it's neat!

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised once I opened my box/bag! I realized that I actually liked most of the products, and I will use all of them. A lot of these products seem to be geared toward maybe "older" women because there is a lot to do with eye creams and anti aging, things like that. I don't have too many wrinkles yet (I'm not even twenty, but I'm getting there) but I love these products anyway. There is an information card that comes with everything and I am so glad they included it because I was unsure what some of the items were and how to use them. I'm new
 to some of this.

Deborah Lippmann 3D Nail Color: Value- $19. This nail polish is the coolest color! I love blue, especially darker blues. It is in the shade Ray of Light and it is labeled as "3D holographic nail lacquer". How awesome is that? Very awesome. So many sparkles. Maybe I should have painted it on my nails for this picture, hmm...

Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pad Self-Tanner: Value- $18. These are self tanning towels for the face. I usually don't use self tanners but I may have to try this out. It comes with 10 towels so that should be enough to decide if I like it or not.

Value- $16. This Emani organic lip shine is amazing! It lasts for a while and isn't as sticky as other lip glosses I've used. It also tastes pleasant! I hope I'm not the only one who noticed that.

Philip B. Self Adjusting Hair Spray: Value- $22. This is a huge bottle of hairspray! It's a buildable hairspray that adjusts to how much holdage you need. I don't normally use hairspray since I rarely do anything with my hair, but now I'll be ready!

Bioelements Quick Refiner: Full Size Value- $46 for 3 OZ. (This is tiny!) This was one of the items where I went "what the heck is this?" but luckily the information card helped me out! You spread a thin layer onto your clean face, morning or night or both, and it is supposed to reveal younger looking skin. My skin tone is somewhat uneven because I have redness, I am hoping this will help! It is a pretty tiny sample though.

Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex SPF 15: Value around $15. The main thing I love about this cream is that it has SPF 15. I love products with SPF in it because I dislike having a pink face from the sun! I will probably be using this as a moisturizer in the mornings.I also am in love with this packaging. Seriously how cute is that jar?

Lumene Vitamin C= Pure Radiance 24h Lotion: Value- $20.  Okay, I love this moisturizer. Literally my favorite thing I have ever gotten in any subscription box. It is 1.7 ounces of awesomeness. It moisturizes extremely well. I always have tight, dry skin after I shower and wash my face, but just a dime sized amount of this made that dryness disappear! Lately I have been trying to finish my 6 ounces of Ponds cream. Ugh, it's taking forever! This Lumene product has totally gotten me out of my rut. I love it. And also it smells nice and it's made from Cloudberry and it had natural coloring. Ahh I love it! Totally worth trying this box out.

Value: $20. This was an extra gift that came in my box. It's a little tiny concealer brush and I love it so far! So cute.

This is a very tiny sample of an eye cream. It looks larger than it is because the underside is hollow, kind of. You know? Anyway, we will see how this works! This was another extra in the box. I just looked this up and apparently it has been recommended by Oprah! Everybody loves Oprah. I trust her.

I purchased this box for around $19 and I think it was totally worth it! Especially since I think I found my new favorite moisturizer. Thanks for reading!

Did anybody else enjoy their box?

Free Shampoo From Kroger!

Today only, if you have a Kroger plus card or any other branch of Kroger cards, you can redeem an online coupon for a free shampoo! It's normally a pretty expensive shampoo, it's the Clear brand, so I think this is an awesome deal! You can pick either men or women's conditioner or shampoo.

I recently got a free Clear conditioner from CVS, so I definitely like that Kroger had the same coupon!

The coupon expires in August but you can only download it today, so hop to it! I believe that Kroger is doing a freebie coupon like this every friday, so I'll try to stay up to date on that.

Enjoy your free product!

July Julep "It Girl" Introduction Box & Coupon Code

I was surprised that this shipped so quickly, I feel like I just ordered it! Which I did... a few days ago. Still, it seemed to get to my house super fast, which was awesome.

Julep is a subscription box service that focuses mainly on nail polish, but they have started to branch out into other things such as hair and body care.

I chose the It Girl intro box because I thought the nail polish colors were amazing, and they are!

Of course, the packaging was so beautiful. But I was too excited to take a picture of it and accidentally may have torn into it...

This is a .07 oz sample of Julep's hand scrub. It claims to reveal "noticeably softer and younger looking skin after just one use". My hands could definitely be softer! I just wish this sample was larger, and not a foil packet.

I received three colors; Bunny, Stefani and Eden.

I know this picture sucks, sorry!
This is Bunny, it's a nice off-white shade and I am really excited to try it out! I mentioned this in one of my other blog posts, but I only own one nail polish. Total. Ever. And it's pink. So I like this.

This picture isn't so great either. Sorry! This is Stefani. It looks sort of like a dark grey with some shimmer in it. It will be perfect for fall :)

So blurry, so sorry.

This is Eden. It's like a purple blue color, and I love it! I honestly cannot wait to try out all of these colors.

I got this Julep introduction box for only $3.99. How great of a deal is that? Three nail polishes and a hand scrub sample for four dollars. I'll take it :)

You can get your first box for only $3.99 by using this link!

Thank you for reading :)
